EVIL CAN BE TURNED TO GOOD
Many of us have been deceived by the devil and have taken
steps we later have discovered were the result of deception
by the enemy. We thought we were doing the will of God, but
found we had been misled. Eve was innocently deceived by the
serpent, but then by God's grace, He promised that through
her seed would come the defeat of the one who had deceived
her. (Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between thee and
the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall
bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.")
Yes, God can turn the very devices of the enemy into
weapons of victory over him! Willful transgression brings
the judgment of God upon it, even though the transgressor
can be forgiven. Moreover, every single thing in which Satan
may have deceived us as innocent victims of his wiles can
become the very cause of his defeat. God gives comfort to
those who have been fooled by Satan. This is especially true
for those of God's children who have been deceived by "supernatural manifestations" which afterwards were found
not to be of God, and to those who have fallen into
depression, darkness and despair. We can rise from despair
by asking God to turn what Satan has meant for evil into
good for our lives and for all those involved. Genesis 50:20
states, "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God
meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to
save much people alive."
